At the end of the retention policy, what happens to the emails and stored information?

Within the initial configuration of the appliance, the details of the post-retention policy time frame can be established. This allows an admin to set up the frequency of deletion after a policy has expired, or create extensions for retention based on departmental groupings or other determining factors.

At Intradyn, we believe it to be easiest to apply a blanket policy to all communications.  Granular policies, or ones that vary from department to department, can be effective but confusing, as different branches of your organization will have different requirements and regulations to follow.

A base policy for the entire organization removes any doubt of how long to retain any communications which are sent across multiple departments.
