Messages can be fetched from virtually any email server that supports message journaling, or sent directly to the Email Archiving Solution™ using SMTP. Some examples of servers we support are:

PST Tools (local PST mgt.)

Email Archiving Solution™ includes an add-on tool for exporting and importing emails from PST files. This tool enables users to easily export emails directly from PST files to the Email Archiving Solution™ SMTP server for centralized archiving and searching of older emails. The PST Tools also allows Email Archiving Solution™ users to import archived emails residing on the Email Archiving Solution™.

Data Retention Policies

Intradyn™ recommends Sony AIT™ Tape for long-term archiving. Sony's AIT™ Tape meets the requirements of the SEC, NYSE, and NASD regulations. These regulations demand that emails and attachments are preserved on non-alterable, non-rewritable, and non- erasable media, such as Sony AIT WORM™.

If there is a need to purge data, the needed data can be extracted without disrupting any other data and replaced once the data has served its purpose.
