Software Engineer
Job Profile:
We are looking for a Software Engineer, who wants to work on next generation data protection and storage technologies in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment. As a key contributor you will be responsible for developing key parts of our multi-tiered storage system. You will develop data replication, data reduction, data migration and data management software with an emphasis on disk based backup storage. You will also be part of technical design, functional specification, project estimates, scheduling, and code reviews.
Requirements:
- Manual and automated software QA/testing experience.
- Experience creating test plans and manual test cases.
- Experience in Unix/Linux administration and use.
- Experience in dynamic languages such as Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience testing complex web applications.
- Ability to solve problems quickly.
Preferences:
- 3+ years of software and system testing experience.
- Understanding of white box and black box testing techniques.
- Expertise in fundamental networking concepts and protocols (TCP, IMAP, POP).
- Web development experience including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Database knowledge including SQL and PostgreSQL.
